The Deviantart Coalition for Quality Control was established in 2009 by people who were fed up by the direction that user-generated-content-based websites were going: straight to Hell. Particularly DeviantArt (which didn’t start out so well to begin with). There’s plenty of great artwork to be found on DeviantArt, but it doesn’t help that it gets flooded out by millions of incarnations of Timmy’s refrigerator-worthy anime sketching of himself buttfucking Sonic.
We feel that we can encourage people who create worthwhile artwork and imagery to keep doing it online, while discouraging fangirls and fanboys, furries, socially-awkward nerds, and other delinquents from filling up the dying Internet with their pathetic queefs onto sheets of paper that they dub “artwork” fit for viewing, by presenting it here, and butchering it with words, and then rubbing it in their faces afterward.
