There isn’t much respect for “edgy art” on the mainstream circuit. To casual art fans, the ideas of enema painting or jacking off onto paper and calling it a completed piece seem to be ridiculous extremes to take, even for the sake of “expression.” Surprise surprise: The mainstream might be onto something for once.
